beGaze and hidden text

Today we got more familiarized with the eye-tracker technology.  After running the program a few times, I realize the benefits and negatives of using stationary eye-tracking technology as opposed to t using portable eye-tracker technology. Stationary eye-tracker tech is, in my opinion, better because it requires less time to calibrate and the processing and data collection is already don for you with the beGaze software.

After lunch, we attended a lecture given by Dr. Roger Easton. He presented on his work in the Historical document imaging field. He told us about many techniques that he and his colleagues use to reveal seemingly hidden layers of text from what are called palimpsests. It was actually quite interesting to see the process that it takes to reveal some of the "hidden" writing.
